Is Princess Beatrice the new Fergie?

When Princess Beatrice showed up in that ridiculous hat I thought it was really rude as if she was trying to upstage the bride. It reminded me of the things that her Mother used to do to Diana, such as the incident where Fergie claimed Diana gave her hand-me-down shoes that smelled. What do people in the UK think about Beatrice? I'm an American and please don't be offended by my question because we have our own Sara to deal with (Palin).
