Question about John the Baptist and Mary?

Matthew 11:11 "Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he." Question is about Mary and the Catholic Church's worship. Here we have Jesus clearly stating this about John the Baptist, so how did Mary arise higher than John in the Catholic Church? Do you not listen to Jesus?
