Can you tell me information about this phone ?

I want to get a phone but there is another one that look the exact same, and I am confused, the phone I want I know is a motorola droid, so it narrows it down to the motorola droid by verizon, but the one I want has a full keyboard and it slides up like a sidekick, its a touch screen too, but I don't know what kind it is, the droid x or just the plain droid. But anyway; its gonna be with verizon, so I need to pick a plan, what do you recommend? I don't talk more then 5 minutes on the phone unless its someone like my bff or a relative in a different state, I text like crazy, and I want internet and email and instant messaging. Is there something where I can put a certain amount a people in a plan and talk to them for free like t-mobile fav 5? Is it free after a certain time? I don't want to spend more the 70 on my bill. And can you tell me what would be some good apps to get for the phone, and what they do? Thanks
